The International Dimension

As one of Scotland 's largest business school with students, faculty and staff from over 90 countries, CBS brings together people, cultures and ideas from around the world to develop best practices that ultimately help shape the future of global business.

As an outwardly focused community, we recognise the importance of global institutional collaborations and research responsive to local context and opportunity. Our global perspective and multicultural diversity are reflected in all aspects of our teaching, research and consultancy.

The aim of embedding the international agenda in all our activities is a key strategic priority for the school. Examples include:

  • developing knowledge, skills and sensitivity across contrasting business environments in a global arena
  • improving understanding of the behaviour of UK equity-based multi-national businesses operating in overseas markets
  • creating and disseminating management knowledge to informs worldwide business practice
  • developing and distributing practical business knowledge around the world.
  • developing responsible, thoughtful leaders and entrepreneurs who create value for their organisations and their communities wherever they are in the world
  • developing dynamic, creative and energetic business leaders and entrepreneurs whose actions create value for their organisation and their communities
  • strengthening the local economies across the globe with which the Business School has contact.
